RCS helps 2010 Ecobot challenge grow 5x in one year
Rehak Creative Services helped the Education Foundation of Harris County and other sponsors launch the All-Earth Ecobot Challenge in 2009. The challenge gives kids in grades 5 through 8 a fun opportunity to learn about science, math and robotics.
In early 2009, the All-Earth Ecobot Challenge drew 54 teams from around Houston. It was an incredible event, but just the beginning.
In late 2009, RCS began working to help expand the event statewide. An improved web site and a social media campaign were key in this effort.
On April 17, more than 270 teams from across Texas participated in the Ecobot Challenge. Approximately 2500 students, teachers, and parents attended the event at Reliant Center. Despite the intense competition, all the participants enthused about how much fun it was.
Now, RCS is starting to prepare for the 2011 event. A user-submitted photo gallery is already up on the website. And we created a video using footage from the event to help attract sponsors that will enable even more teams to compete next year.
