SUCCESS STORIES: Ecobot Challenge

Challenge:
The Education Foundation of Harris County, along with many other community organizations and corporate sponsors, developed a robotics competition for middle schoolers. The All Earth Ecobot Challenge is designed to get students hands-on experience in math, science and problem solving. But starting an event like this from scratch is no easy task, so RCS pitched in to help get Ecobot off the ground.

Solution:
RCS donated all graphics for the first annual event including design for the logos, posters, banners, website design, programs, t-shirts, awards and more. This gave the organizers everything they needed to get started.

After a wildly successful first year, RCS helped the Ecobot Challenge go state-wide in 2010. A new website used electronic registration to help streamline the process, and gave parents and students a place to share their photos.

RCS also developed a promotional video to help encourage sponsorship for the 2011 event.

Results:
After just two years of competition, the All Earth Ecobot Challenge has generated an incredible amount of interest from teachers, parents and students. More than two thousand middle school students attended the 2010 event, and sponsors are already excited to get involved in the 2011 competition.
