SUCCESS STORIES: Montgomery County Food Bank

Challenge:
In 2008, The Montgomery County Food Bank provided food to more than 24,000 hungry people every day. Unfortunately, due to the recession, the number of people in need was growing, and the number of people donating to the food bank was decreasing. By some estimates, 43,000 people in the county were going hungry.

Solution:
To help the Montgomery County Food Bank meet the climbing demand, RCS developed a six-minute video to help encourage corporate donations, and a print campaign to effectively raise awareness of the problem.

Results:
In 2009, the need for food assistance in Montgomery County quadrupled. But with the video and print ads, RCS helped the food bank raise more than 4 million pounds of food.
